Grote belangstelling voor innovatievouchers Boerderij van de Toekomst
17 May 2021 - category_news - De voucherregeling voor het agro-ecologische onderzoeksproject Boerderij van de Toekomst van Wageningen University & Research (WUR) kan op grote belangstelling rekenen. Ruim vijftig bedrijven uit binnen- en buitenland hebben de afgelopen maanden een aanvraag ingediend om een innovatie of nieuwe technologie te testen die kan bijdragen aan kringlooplandbouw. Vier aanvragers – die allen autonome veldrobots en tractors ontwikkelen - hebben inmiddels een voucher ontvangen. Hiermee kunnen zij gebruik maken van de faciliteiten, expertise en ondersteuning van Boerderij van de Toekomst. Het is nog steeds mogelijk nieuwe aanvragen in te dienen. -

Pioneering farmer Roy Michielsen about nature-based solutions

Since 2015, ERF BV has been applying basic principles of nature to farming by strip cropping. Now, five years later, he is convinced that this is the nature-based solution that he was looking for. -
Nature-based solutions in STOWA Deltafact
30 September 2020 - category_news - Local practical examples show that the creation of natural forest, food forest and agroforestry in catchment areas of Dutch waters can be of added value for biodiversity, carbon sequestration, water buffering and water safety. The National Forest Strategy, the Climate Agreement and the Integral River Management program provide frameworks for applying these land use forms more widely as nature-based solutions. The precondition is that earnings models are developed for the entrepreneurs involved and that ecosystem services for society are quantified.
